TEN POINT CHECKLIST FOR YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE

  1. Always use your logo or professional head shot as your profile picture.  Remember that your profile photo is used as the thumbnail that appears alongside your posts in the news feed.  This is very important for raising brand awareness.

  2. Is your cover image (top landscape picture at the top of your page) a good representation of your business?  This should be changed to showcase different campaigns and for seasonal  themes using your brand colours to make your page look professional.  You could use a video for your cover to really impress your customers!  We design these images & videos to fit perfect on mobile & desktop.  (See our video at the bottom of this page and use our special code FACEBOOK COVER VIDEO to claim a cover video for only £30)

  3. Have you claimed your username? Our username is @OneDesignStudioNI so that people can easily search for us online.  Inserting your username after www.Facebook.com/ creates a vanity URL to your Facebook page, ours then looks this this:  www.Facebook.com/OneDesignStudioNI.  We use this address on email signatures, business cards, brochures and on promotional videos etc.  (Contact us for more info on our unbeatable print offers now available).

  4. Make sure you have set up your 'call to action' button on your page.  This will prompt people to take action by making it obvious what you want them to do next.  Do you want them to call you, visit your website, download your app, make a donation, book services or perhaps have two options.

  5. Have you turned page messaging on?  This makes it easy for people to start a conversation with you.  respond quickly to messages to earn 'responsive' badge from Facebook.

  6. Have you set a featured video?  Select one of your native videos to be featured at the top of your page.  It will be one of the first things people who visit your page will see.  You can set this up under video tab.  (Contact us if you need more help).

  7. Its a great idea to organise your tabs!  Reorder your tabs to highlight your strong points.  So, if you have lots of 5 star reviews, then you should consider this tab to the top.  If you have lots of great videos then give the video tab a prominent position on your page.  Always turn off out of date tabs that no longer function.

  8. Have you set up the Facebook shop to sell products or services?  Create a shop tab under the edit page section under settings.  Businesses with ecommerce stores can link Facebook shop products to the corresponding page on their website.  Businesses without ecommerce can take transactions offline.  (Contact us for more info or details about our Facebook Marketing Packages).

  9. Can customers leave reviews on your page?  Allow potential customers know what your current customers think about you!  Encourage 5 star reviews by asking satisfied customers to post reviews.  Respond carefully to any negative reviews.  (Contact us for some advice if needed).

  10. Finally, publish high quality content regularly on your page.  Create content that will resonate with your target audiences.  Integrate your visual identity to reinforce brand identity.  Let visitors to your page know whats happening in your business right now.  Having an active page with great content is one of the best ways of impressing customers & potential customers!
